Hon. Henry Quartey, Minister for the Interior has expressed appreciation for the European Union’s (EU) continued support in strengthening Ghana’s security infrastructure, including equipment and training for security services, capacity-building programmes and border management support.

He emphasized the significance of international cooperation in addressing security challenges. He added that Ghana will continue to collaborate and deepen talks with the EU on other projects.

The Minister made these remarks when the EU Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Irchad Razaaly, led a delegation to meet with him to discuss the EU-funded, Multi-Country GAR-SI approach (GAR-SI) project. The project aims to enhance civil security and stability in the Sahel and West Africa.
