Ghana Gas Company hands over 12-unit lecture block to Kumasi Technical University

Ghana National Gas Company Limited has commissioned a 12-Unit lecture block to be used as a satellite campus of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) at Juansa in the Asante Akim North.

At the ceremony, Dr. Benjamin K.D. Asante, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Company Ltd, mentioned that through a comprehensive corporate social responsibility policy, Ghana Gas has accomplished commendable achievements in healthcare, water and sanitation, sports and education across all regions in the country.

As a native of Juansa, Asante Akim North, he reaffirmed his commitment to help in community development in the area.

Representing the Vice Chancellor of KsTU, Dr. Charles Akomeah Bonsu, Dean, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Enterprises Development, expressed his profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North and the Juansa Traditional Council for their support in bringing this vision to light.

He indicated that in no time, The Juansa campus will start running with programmes which include Diploma in Catering and Hospitality, Diploma in Automative Engineering , Diploma in Oil and Gas among others.

After the keys of the facility had been handed over to the University, he expressed his profound gratitude and gave the assurance to put the facility to good use.

Other dignitaries in attendance included, Hon. Appiah Kubi, MP for Asante Akim North, Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng, MP for Asante Akim South and Deputy Railway Minister, Nana Owusu Awuah Ababio, Board Member, Ghana Gas and Ashanti Mampong Botaasehene, Dr. Ing. Prince Owusu-Ansah, Vice Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology-KsTU, Dr. Kofi Agyarko Ababio, Director, IDCE-KsTU and staff of Ghana Gas.
