Ghana has moved up in the new FIFA rankings, as they now occupy the 59th position.
The world’s football governing body released the new men’s football rankings on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Ghana in March this year was placed 60th in the rankings, and this latest one comes on the back of the unbeaten run under coach Chris Hughton.
In Africa, the Black Stars maintained their 11th position.
Morocco continues to reign supreme in Africa, followed by Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt in the first five.
Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso round out the top ten African nations in the rankings.
Globally, Argentina is settling into its new status as the global leader close to three months after reclaiming the top rank in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings.
The top three also remain unchanged, with France and Brazil occupying the second and third positions respectively.
