Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has indicated that the global advocacy for energy transition demands that Ghana aggressively develop and utilise cleaner energy resources such as solar, wind, hydro and nuclear among others and presents a fine opportunity for them to explore.

In a discussion with officials of Trafigura, a global company with interest in Energy and allied sectors called on Energy Minister, Dr.Prempeh on Wednesday, March 23,2022 led by their Country Manager, Mr. Kwasi Amanor, focused essentially on the investment opportunities in Ghana’s energy sector.

Dr. Prempeh indicated clearly, that Ghana’s Energy sector has enormous potential they can explore.

He highlighted The Minister who is also MP for Manhyia South told the delegation that Ghana’s quest for low carbon electricity generation and the expansion of market-based cleaner cooking solutions and sustainable charcoal production also present fine opportunities for investment.

As part of the LPG for development agenda, Dr. Prempeh also stated that the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing company is seeking partnership company towards the mass production of LPG cylinders, cookstoves as well as Autogas cylinders and even other strategic areas of operation.

The company expressed their commitment to working closely with the Ministry in the strategic utilisation of Ghana’s energy resources for the benefit of the Ghanaian people.
