Ghana police arrest fugitive wanted for double murder in Nigeria

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has apprehended 26-year-old Nigerian national Victor Benjamin Fejemirokum, who was sought in connection with the abduction and murder of a Nigerian FRSC officer and her daughter.

The suspect allegedly fled Nigeria to Ghana following the commission of the crime.

Regional Commander DCOP George Ohene-Boadi informed journalists that the suspect, who fled Nigeria after the crime was tracked to Akyem Wenchi in Akwatia.

He was apprehended in an intelligence-led operation.

According to the police, arrangements are being made to transfer him to Nigerian authorities, and the public is being urged to remain vigilant.
