Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has indicated that there will be lawlessness in Ghana under the reign of Kennedy Agyapong as President.

In his view, Kennedy Agyapong, as a person, does not respect the laws of the country.

He said the presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party believes in attacking people who don’t agree with his decision violently rather than allowing the laws to work, which is inimical to the country’s democracy.

“When Kennedy Agyapong had his issues with Wontumi and Wontumi said he would report him to the Police, Kennedy Agyapong’s response was that he is a woman, which is why he is resorting to the Police. He said he would prepare for him.

For someone who wants to become president, you should rather be ensuring that the rule of law works, but that was not what Kennedy Agyapong said. He said he would prepare and face him squarely.

So if some of their people have prepared and gone to face UTV, then it’s a culture in their political party. Draw your conclusions from his utterances. He says if you do something he will not report you to the police, or soldiers but rather prepare and face you. We will then have a president who will be seen in public fighting his enemies.” he said

He further noted that even under the current leadership of the New Patriotic Party, of which he is an active member, individuals are treated with impunity because not everybody is equal before the law.
