Ghanaian musician, D-Black has been lambasted on social media platforms by critics who seems to have been agitated by his action for illegally connecting to the national grid.

Report indicates that D-Black’s Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge located at Cantonments behind the police headquarters in Accra has been cut off from the national grid for power theft.

Operators were caught red handed by the National Taskforce of the Electricity Company of Ghana for bypassing the meter to use electricity.

The Taskforce visited the premises of the lounge, where it uncovered the illegality, which is alleged to have taken place for a long time.

The ECG has since served notice to the managers of the facility to report at their office for further interrogation.

A number of public and private institutions have been caught over the past five weeks ever since the power distributor declared war on debtors and illegal connections.

A section of the public who were not happy with D-Black’s action asked why he will ‘steal’ power and still had the courage to be part of Yvonne Nelson’s #DumsorMustStop Vigil in 2015.

Some critics tagged the ‘Enjoyment Minister’ as a  ‘Nation wrecker’.

A critic tweeted, “He wanted 24 hours power supply so he can continue to steal power. Greedy man.”

Another critic also noted, “If investigations prove that he’s guilty jail his a**”

“If D Black and other state institutions could be caught over power theft n debts what about we the unemployed living in the Zongos about 60% of people in the nation can’t afford the current charges of electricity n the poor supply which makes many turn to illegal connections.” Critic tweeted

Notably among those who participated in the #DumsorMustStop vigil were Afia Schwarzenegger, E.L, DKB, Van Vicker, Wonlov, Prince David Osei, Efya, Elikem the Tailor, film maker, Socrate Safo, D-Black, David Oscar, Barima Sidney among others.

The #DumsorMustStop vigil spear headed by actress Yvonne Nelson was to push for an intervention in the power crisis facing the nation in 2015.
