Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom with one voice on Saturday, August 5, 2023, threw their support behind Mr. Alan Kyerematen in his bid to become the President of Ghana come 2025.
The event organized by an independent group, Alan Supporters for UK, was held at the Regent Community Center in London, which was packed to capacity with Ghanaians who were mostly New Patriotic Party [NPP] by political affiliation and emphatically declared their unflinching support for the former Trade and Industry Minister.
Speakers of the event, Mr. Richmond Mensah, Mr. Andy Owusu, Mr. Alexander Kyerematen, Mr. Kingsley Dwamena Fosu, and Nana Akwasi Asante, recounted the good deeds of their hero and believed that with Ghana at a crossroads, the country needs a leader who has a workable plan beyond the IMF program.
Other notable guests were the NPP UK Branch Chairman Kingsley Adumatta-Agyapong (Wofa K), Branch Secretary, Mr. Otuo Acheampong, Mr. Kwaku Bimpeh communications Director, Mr. Andrew Opoku Amankwah, Executive member of the South London Chapter, Mr. Yaw Boadu, chairman of the East London chapter, Fred Foss, Charles Acheampong, members of the Young Executive Forum (YEF), Mr. Richard Bio, Former Executive to the YEF, and leading member of Alan supporters UK.
Participants at the meeting were of the view that amongst the other competent aspirants, Mr. Kyerematen is the only one who has been able to come out with his plan, dubbed “The Great Transformational Plan,” which focuses on agriculture and industrialization.
The program was used to entreat Ghanaians back home and those in the diaspora to throw their full support behind Hon.Kyerematen since the days of trial and error are over.
