The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has generously donated GH₵11,916.50 to the Ekua Bafowah Sickle Cell Foundation at the GNFS National Headquarters in Accra.
This donation came after the foundation paid a courtesy call on the management of GNFS to announce their intention to create and sustain awareness of Sickle Cell disease.
This donation aims to support the Foundation’s mission of raising awareness about sickle cell disease.
Following the donation, the Chief Fire Officer, (CFO) Julius A. Kuunuor commended the Foundation’s founder for her dedication to this important cause.
He expressed his desire for the GNFS to contribute even more in the future, extended his heartfelt prayers for the Foundation’s success, and wished them continued progress.
Ekua Bafowah, the founder of the Ekua Bafowah Sickle Cell Foundation, expressed her profound gratitude to the Ghana National Fire Service.
She noted that this generous contribution will significantly advance the Foundation’s goal of increasing awareness in rural areas, enabling them to acquire essential equipment such as a projector and a generator.
