The Anyinam Fire Station, Spearheaded by the District Fire Commander, DO II Michael George Korda, in collaboration with the District Chief Executive of Atiwa West and other key stakeholders, engaged rickshaw (Pragia) riders at Kwabeng in the Atiwa West District.
The engagement was aimed at enforcing road traffic regulations, promoting road safety, reducing accidents involving tricycle riders, and eliminating the involvement of persons under 21 years in commercial riding activities.
DO II Michael George Korda educated the riders on road traffic collisions, the causes and prevention of vehicular fires, and the importance of acquiring fire extinguishers. He further advised the riders to always give way to emergency vehicles responding to incidents.
Officials present included the District Coordinating Director, the Head of the District Information Services Department, the District Finance Officer, representatives of Pragia riders, and the Ghana Police Service, represented by Inspector Acheampong Ekpebonkpah.
