Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his discontent with Ghanaian politicians for failing to make the greatest use of the natural riches that God has given the nation in order to enhance the lives of the people.
The Assin North Central MP said this during an engagement with party delegates in the Upper West Region.
He asserted that Ghana has a sizable amount of arable land, which should enable it to produce enough food to feed itself.
“What I’ve seen in the north here, I think God should lie all politicians on a table and lash all of us, squeeze their ears and give them last warning that i have given you land in abundance to develop and feed yourselves. You are always begging white people for what?” he asked.
Mr. Agyapong, who is campaigning to lead the NPP in the 2024 general elections, stated that he would create industries to enhance the value of the nation’s natural resources if he got the opportunity to be president.
“The shea nut we have here is so sweet and is unfortunate we do not have one juice factory here to process these fruits. Give me the opportunity, and you will see the number of factories I will open,” he said.
