The Ministry of Education has announced the disbursement of GH¢26 million to Institutional Suppliers responsible for supplying school uniforms, PE kits, stationery, etc., as part of the Free Senior High School programme.
This comes after the National Association of Institutional Suppliers suspended their two-day protest on April 8, 2024, following an assurance meeting with Minister of Education Dr Yaw Adutwum on payment of arrears owed to the association.
The Education Ministry in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, highlighted that, the amount underscores the government’s commitment to fostering quality education and ensuring the smooth running of educational institutions.
“The Ministry affirms its commitment to ensuring smooth, timely, and efficient distribution of resources as we continue our efforts to improve and sustain quality education in Ghana”, Kwasi Kwarteng added.
