The Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Works and Housing, Mr. Abdulai Abanga has reiterated the government’s commitment to making the building and construction sector a conducive environment for all industry players to operate.
Speaking at the launch of H&M Manufacturing Showroom in Accra, the Minister emphasised the importance of the sector in the country’s development and the need for the formulation of regulations, programs and policies to help drive a safe space for the industry players.
He said, the Ministry is currently advanced with processes to review the Building Regulations, the Rent Act, 1963 (220), the Architect Act, and also pass the Condominium Bill, and the National Housing Authority Bill.
This he believed would create a conducive environment for industry players to operate and excel.
In his remarks, Mr Charlse A. Hanna, the Managing Director of H&M Manufacturing disclosed that their products are made in Ghana. Adding that the company was inspired by the Government’s one district one factory agenda.
