The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has announced a temporary disruption in the Government of Ghana Email Platform, which has left several users unable to access the service.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, NITA explained that its technical team has already identified the cause of the outage and is working tirelessly to restore full functionality. The agency acknowledged the vital role the email platform plays in ensuring smooth government communication and effective public service delivery.
“We understand the importance of this platform in supporting government communication and public service delivery, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the statement read.
The agency assured the public that every effort is being made to resolve the challenge within the shortest possible time. It further promised to provide regular updates to keep users informed of progress made.
NITA also expressed appreciation for the patience and cooperation of users as it works toward restoring the service, while offering apologies for the inconvenience caused.
The Government of Ghana Email Platform serves as a secure and official communication channel for ministries, departments, agencies, and other state institutions.
