The government of Ghana is making plans to start the construction of a $200 million film studio this year.
According to Rex Omar, a renowned Highlife musician and Coordinator for Blackstar Experience, the government has secured funding for the construction of a Hollywood standard film studio in the country.

The film studio will be called Ananse Studios and will feature an education facility.

The project is expected to promote Ghanaian creative products, attract investments, and transform Ghana into Africa’s cultural capital.
The Blackstar Experience will be built around seven pillars: Cinema, Audio, Cuisines, Aesthetics, Style, Literature, Heritage
The project also includes various events and activities, such as exhibition football matches, Ghana Music Week celebration, and Detty December.
