The Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completing four critical road projects in the Greater Accra Region. These projects include the Ofankor-Nsawam, Tema Motorway extension, Tema-Akosombo, and Tema-Aflao road projects.
During an inspection tour yesterday, Hon. Agbodza expressed concern over the slow progress on the Ofankor-Nsawam, Tema-Akosombo, and Tema-Aflao projects. He directed contractors to accelerate construction efforts to ensure timely completion.
Additionally, the Minister instructed contractors to enhance maintenance on unpaved and distressed road sections and to continue watering dusty areas to minimize inconvenience for motorists.
Acknowledging the country’s current economic challenges, Hon. Agbodza assured contractors that the government considers these projects a top priority and will allocate the necessary funds to facilitate their completion.
These road projects are expected to significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities in the region once completed.
