The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has received GH¢50 million from the Ministry of Education to help with the administration of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The ministry in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, indicated that the disbursement reaffirms the government’s commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC, ensuring that the Council runs smoothly in their operations without interference.
“We wish to reassure all stakeholders, especially students, parents, guardians, and the general public, of our dedication to sustaining an environment that fosters seamless, efficient, and high-quality education for all Ghanaian students,” Kwasi Kwarteng stated.
