All 16 flagship programmes of government including the Free Senior High School policy are up for review.
This is according to Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah. It is one of the many decisions taken at a crunch Cabinet meeting, to proffer solutions to the economic hardships in the country.
There have been calls for the government to cut down on its expenditure and review the Free SHS Policy to cater for the less privileged alone, in the face of the current economic downturn.
Speaking on an Accra based radio station- Citi, Mr Oppong Nkrumah said all the 16 flagship programmes are up to be looked at.
He said President Akufo-Addo has directed that the flagship programmes should be protected and fully implemented to ensure that the impact is achieved.
The information minister said the caveat by the President is to not compromise on the fiscal consolidation agenda.
