The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has announced a major transformation agenda for Ghana Post, with the appointment of a new Managing Director and Deputy to lead the organization into a new era of innovation and efficiency.

Madam Rita Sraha has been named Managing Director, with Mr. Stephen Kingsley Bennieh (Esq.) as her deputy.

Their mandate is to spearhead a strategic overhaul aimed at repositioning Ghana Post as a modern, technology-driven government post office offering seamless services to citizens.

According to the Minister, the vision is to create a 360-degree, one-stop-shop experience where Ghanaians can access a range of essential services, including financial transactions, bill payments, and more. He emphasized the importance of integrating digital solutions to enhance efficiency and improve customer experience.

“We need to move beyond just working hard to working smart,” Hon. Sam George stated, urging the new leadership to embrace innovation, disrupt outdated processes, and explore new opportunities for growth.

He also highlighted the significance of staff welfare, announcing a staff durbar on motivation to be held within a month.

Furthermore, Ghana Post has been tasked with developing a roadmap for a 24-hour economy, which will be presented to the Ministry.

This initiative aligns with the government’s broader digitalization agenda, aiming to position Ghana Post as a leader in modern public service delivery.
