Aduana Stars are five points clear at the top of the betPawa Ghana premier league table after they beat Nsoatreman FC 2-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

Goals from Akwasi Mensah Gabriel and Richard Afriyie ensured that Aduana extend their lead to 5 points on the league table.

The Dormaa-based club sit top of the table with 31 points after playing 16 games.

At the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a painful 1-0 defeat to Real Tamale United.

Obeng Junior missed from a close range after Linda Mtange’s wonderful through pass to send Hearts up in the opening minutes of the first half.

Both teams continued to create some decent chances in an exciting first 45 minutes, but could not get a goal.

RTU took advantage in the closing stages of the second half through a superb long-range volley from former Hearts player, Abdul Manaf Umar to grab a win for the home side.

The results have seen the Phobian club drop to 5th on the league table, 6th points off league leaders Aduana Stars.
