Kumasi Asante Kotoko have moved to the second spot on the betPawa Ghana Premier League table after defeating Accra Lions 4-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday.
The hosts did not create much in the first 15 minutes of the start of the game, but they later got things right as they scored 2 goals within 5 minutes in the first half, with goals from Rashid Nortey and Stephen Mukwala.
The Porcupine Warriors cruised to victory as Mukwala got his second goal of the day just 4 minutes after the start of second half, taking Kotoko up by 3-0.
Enock Morrison then made it 4-0 after he fired a long-range shot from behind the 18-yard box, which Accra Lions goalkeeper Andrew could not save.
Kotoko have not lost a match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this season, winning five and drawing three.
They have now moved second with 27 points-four points behind league leaders Aduana Stars.
