Stephen Anokye’s first-half goal was enough for league leaders Aduana FC to secure a 1-0 away win against Dreams FC on Wednesday afternoon.
Dreams FC’s run of three games without defeat was cut short as Anokye’s goal in the 6th minute in the first half earned Aduana all three points.
The league leaders were left with 10 men on the pitch, as Richard Danso was sent off in the 84th minute but they were able to hold on to their 1-0 lead.
The results mean Aduana continue to stay on top of the table with 26 points while Dreams FC drops to 12th position, with 19 points.
At the Bechem Fosu Gyeabuor Park, Real Tamale United were humiliated as they were thrashed by 6 goals to 2.
Hafiz Konkoni grabbed a hat trick, whiles Clinton Duodu also got a brace, and Isaiah Nyarko’s goal secured a comfortable win for the home side.
The two consolation goals also came from Mustapha Fuseini and Mohammed Sadat.
The victory for Bechem United has placed them second on the league table, with 26 points-two points off first-placed Aduana FC.
Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium by Legon Cities.
Hearts came very close to getting the lead in the first half through Eric Osei Bonsu whose free-kick struck the woodwork.
The phobians continued to mount pressure on the away team, as they received a red card three minutes into the start of the second half.
The game ended in a goalless draw, as Hearts of Oak stays third with 25 points on the table.
