Medeama SC on Friday came from behind to beat King Faisal 2-1 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, improving their prospects of winning the 2022–2023 betPawa Premier League.
King Faisal took an early lead in the first half, with Samuel Kusi netting from a sublime long range shot after he spotted that Medeama’s goalkeeper had come off his line.
The Yellow and Mauve responded ten minutes after King Faisal’s lead, to get back on level, with Nurudeen Abdulai finishing with a header after a cross was sent into their 18-yard box.
After the break, Joshua Agyemang added the second goal for Medeama on the 67th minute, to get all three points for his side.
At Dormaa, Aduana FC suffered a setback in their title chase dreams following their 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC.
The only goal of the game came on the 60th minute through Ali Huzaf, who scored from a header to cause an upset to the home side.
With Aduana dropping all three points, Dreams FC have now opened a four-point gap between themselves and Aduana who are second with 52 points.
