The problems of Accra Hearts of Oak continued on Saturday after they drew 1-1 against Bibiani Gold Stars at DUN’s Park in Bibiani.

With the Bibiani Gold Stars being the better side in the first forty-five minutes of the game, they created numerous chances but failed to take the lead, ending the half goalless.

After the break, Martin Koopman’s men had an early chance two minutes into the second half to take the lead, but were denied by the goal post.

Nevertheless, the Phobians scored in the 68th minute, but the goal was disallowed once more when the assistant referee signalled an offside.

However, Appiah Maccarthy gave the home side a lead after scoring from a free-kick with just three minutes to the end of the 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Hearts grabbed the equalizer in added time after a long ball was sent into the 18-yard box of Bibiani Gold Stars for Hamza Issah to put the ball at the back of the net after goalkeeper Yaw Osei was caught out of position.

The results mean the Phobians sit 16th with only 6 points with one outstanding game to play.

At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi Asante Kotoko also shared points with Bechem United on Sunday afternoon.

After making a single move into Bechem United’s 18-yard box, Peter Amidu fired a shot into the top corner of the goal post to give Kotoko the lead in the opening ten minutes of the game.

The Porcupine Warriors enjoyed a good first half, as they continued to create chances, but ended the first 45 minutes with their 1-0 advantage.

After the break, the away side got their equalizer 9 minutes into the start, with a superb header from from Augustine Okrah, who arrived in the 18-yard box at the right time to connect Emmanuel Avoryo’s cross.

With 8 minutes to the end of the game, Augustine Okrah scored again, but was denied after the ball struck his hand before putting it in the net.

At the end of the 90 minutes, referee blew his whistle for ending the game 1-1.
