Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday secured a comfortable victory over Real Tamale United on Sunday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium, upon return to the league.
The Phobians managed to get all three points with an emphatic display, scoring three unanswered goals.
Hearts of Oaks’s youngster, Hamza Issah’s first-half brace gave them a huge advantage going into the break.
His first goal came in the 18th minute of the first half, scoring a half volley just on the edge of the 18-yard box, before adding the second just before the break.
After the break, the home side kept control of the game and scored the third in the 71st minute through Enock Asubonteng.
In Kpando, Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat to Accra Hearts of Lions in a crunch encounter.
Both teams played out the first 45 minutes without finding the back of the net after creating numerous chances.
Seven minutes after the break, Hearts of Lions broke the deadlock, with midfielder Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah tapping in a cross from the right side.
The victory was an important one for the Kpando-based club, as they moved from the bottom of the table to 16th position.
