The Ghana Private Road Transport Union, GPRTU, is expected to meet the Transport Ministry today, October 24, 2022, regarding the increase in fares.

The meeting which will finalize the percentage of increase is to bring some respite to operators of the transport business.

General Secretary of GPRTU, Godfred Abulbire in an interview with GBC News said several meetings have been held with members who have agreed on a 20 percent increase.

This, he said, has been necessitated by the continuous soaring of fuel prices and petroleum products.
