The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has intercepted a shipment of illegal weapons at the Golden Jubilee Terminal in Tema Port.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the smuggling operation, which authorities confirmed originated from the United States.
Commissioner Brigadier Zibrim Ayorrogo commended the customs officers for their vigilance, describing the seizure as a significant achievement in the fight against the illegal arms trade.
He noted that such efforts are crucial to safeguarding public safety and preventing the proliferation of illicit weapons in the country.
