Ghana Water Limited (Central Region) has issued an update on the current water supply situation in Cape Coast, Elmina, and surrounding communities.

The Chief Manager PR and Communications, Stanley Martey in a press release dated October 2, 2024, stated that the Sekyere Hemang Water Treatment plant has seen a significant improvement in its average turbidity, decreasing from 14,000 NTU to 9,000 NTU.

The statement in appreciation thanked the efforts of the Central Regional Security Council led by Hon. Minister Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan.

The statement continued that, as a result, production at the plant has increased from 1,981,290 gallons per day to 2,773,807 gallons per day.

Ghana Water Limited assures customers that every effort is being made to meet their water demands.

“The Central Regional Security Council is working to improve the raw water source quality, and the public will be periodically updated on any changes that may impact water supply”, the statement said.

Ghana Water Limited appreciates the assistance and support received from the Regional Security Council, led by the Hon. Regional Minister, in improving water supply in the region.
