Senator Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian lawmaker and husband to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has likened having only one wife to “standing on one leg.”
Nwoko made this remark while discussing his views on polygamy during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye.
Amid reports of a marital crisis with his fourth wife, Regina Daniels, the politician defended his polygamous lifestyle, expressing sympathy for men who are married to just one woman.
“Just imagine being told to stand on one leg; you know how difficult it is,” he said. “It’s much more balanced to stand on two, three, or four. I feel sorry for those with one wife. I have no regrets, and I would do the same thing again.”
The interview came amid a public fallout between Nwoko and Regina Daniels. The actress, in a viral video, accused the senator of domestic violence, while Nwoko countered by alleging that Regina was involved in substance abuse.
Adding to the speculation of a possible separation, Regina recently shared a photo of herself on the balcony of what appears to be a new home. The post, captioned “I needed a roof over my head,” has fueled rumours that she has moved out of their marital residence and possibly acquired a new property in Lagos State.
