Notable names like Abdul Manaf Gumah, Benjamin Afutu Kotey, Abednego Tetteh and injured duo Abdul Aziz Nurudeen and Mamani Lawali were excluded as Auroras duo Issah Kakuh and Razak Ali got a place in the team.
New signings such as Enock Asubonteng, Gladson Awako, Kofi Kordzi, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Suraj Seidu and Salim Adams were included.
Hearts of Oak have been crowned 2020/21 MTN FA Cup champions on Sunday at the Accra Sports stadium as they beat the Miners 8-7 on penalties.
Hearts have won both league and MTN FA Cup titles in 1973, 1979,1990,1999.2000 and the latest being this year 2021.
The Phobians since 2000 when they beat Okwawu United havenโt won this domestic trophy. In 2017, Hearts came close in the last competition but lost the final to arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak also won the Ghana Premier League after a decade.
