The Minister of State for Energy, Hon. Herbert Krapa, addressed the ongoing Future Energy Conference at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

In his speech, he outlined Ghana’s ambitious goal of reaching 10% renewable energy by 2030, emphasizing a massive 2000 MW solar project with potential for expansion to 10,000 MW.

This demonstrates the country’s strong commitment to reducing fossil fuel dependence.

Krapa also highlighted Ghana’s significant progress in transitioning 95% of its thermal plants from liquid fuels to natural gas, a crucial step towards cleaner energy.

The 3-day conference, organized by the Africa Center for Energy Policy, focuses on harnessing Africa’s energy resources to drive innovation and ensure equitable access.
