Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, has reiterated the government’s commitment to revitalizing the Komenda Sugar Factory as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s industrial sector.
During an official visit to the factory yesterday, she was accompanied by Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills (MP for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem), Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah (Central Regional Minister), Okatakyi Komey VIII (Chief of KEEA), and other distinguished leaders.
The visit aligns with the broader vision of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to revive Ghana’s industrial base, reduce sugar imports, and create thousands of jobs through a sustainable local value chain.
“The road to industrial transformation is clear, and we are committed to making it a reality,” Hon. Ofosu-Adjare stated, emphasizing the importance of the project in driving economic growth and self-sufficiency.
With renewed focus and collaboration, the revival of the Komenda Sugar Factory is set to play a critical role in Ghana’s industrial development.
