Four basic schools in the Wassa Amenfi East Constituency of the Western Region have benefited from renovations carried out by Member of Parliament Hon. Nicholas Amankwah.
The schools are Abeneso Basic School, Wassa Afransie Basic School, Wassa Dadieso, and English and Arabic Basic School.
At Wassa Afransie Basic School, the MP donated 100 bags of cement and 6 packets of roofing sheets to help them complete a 3-unit community self-project.
Over the weekend, the Abeneso community in Amenfi East received 50 bags of cement to support the completion of some school projects as well.
Moreover, the Wassa Dadieso community also benefited from 100 bags of cement to renovate a notable dilapidated school structure in the area.
The NDC parliamentary candidate for Wassa Amenfi East, Mr. Nicholas Amankwah, said he is investing massively in the education sector to help restore what he described as the lost glory of Amenfi East education.
Hon. Nicholas Amankwah has already extended his gesture to the English and Arabic schools in Wassa Akropong by donating 50 bags of cement, wood, and roofing sheets to facilitate the completion of some ongoing projects in the school.
In all, the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, has donated 300 bags of cement to restore a conducive teaching and learning environment for the good people of Wassa Amenfi East as far as education is concerned.
According to the MP, the donation was to redeem his pledge to boost education in his constituency by rehabilitating some school blocks that were in deplorable states.
Beyond belief, some schools, since their establishment, have never seen any major work and have become very deplorable; thus, the donations by the MP will add a facelift to school infrastructure in the municipality.
Headteachers have expressed their happiness for the MP for the good work done while calling on the electorate to support his political ambition.
