The Member of Parliament for Lambussie Constituency, Hon. Prof. Titus K. Beyuo, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, paid a working visit to the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Immigration Service, and the Customs Excise and Preventive Service in Lambussie.
The visit was aimed at expressing his gratitude to the security agencies for their instrumental role in maintaining peace and security before, during, and after the December 7, 2024, general elections.
Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity for Hon. Prof. Beyuo to familiarize himself with the operations and challenges of these security institutions in the constituency.
During his engagement with the personnel, Hon. Prof. Beyuo commended them for their dedication to duty and urged them to remain steadfast in safeguarding the peace and security of the area, particularly in light of the increasing threats of insurgency from neighbouring Burkina Faso.
He assured them of his support and commitment to addressing their needs to enhance their operational efficiency.
The Member of Parliament, however, could not meet with the hierarchy the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service. His visit to these security agencies will come off later during the second phase of visit to key state institutions in the constituency.
Prior to his visit to the security agencies, Hon. Prof. Beyuo attended several funerals, including those of the late branch secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kolkarni and the late branch chairman of the NDC in Hamile English/Arabic.
He also took time to visit and extend his condolences to the families of other departed party members whose funerals he could not attend.
Hon. Prof. Titus K. Beyuo remains committed to fostering collaboration between security agencies and the community to ensure continued peace and development in the Lambussie Constituency.
