Speaking on her hospital bed, the 38-year-old woman indicated that the husband, Mr Appiah had for years accused her of infidelity whenever she traveled to the Bekwai market.

The victim indicated that her husband had consistently threatened to kill her.

After he allegedly stabbed his wife, the man also stabbed himself in an attempt to kill himself.

Both are currently receiving treatment at the Bekwai Government Hospital.

Meanwhile, the police in Bekwai have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Statements are expected to be taken from the wife and the husband.
