Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeat singer, Wendy Shay has revealed details about her connection with God after many years of wandering in the wilderness.
The RuffTown Record signee disclosed how she found the light and accepted Jesus Christ as His Lord and Personal Saviour.
Disclosing her new status as a believer, the Uber Driver hit singer said at some point in her faith, experienced the conviction that came from the Holy Spirit and promised to preach the gospel.
Speaking on the United Showbiz Show on UTV, Wendy admitted she is at a point in her life where her faith has finally found a resting place in Christ.
“I have now redeemed myself. You know the relationship with God has so many levels, I am not the closest to God. But I am in a level where I trust
God entirely as He has shown me his grace and power.”
Giving details about how she got converted and started building strong relationship with God, Wendy Shay explained that she found her true calling after a few turbulent years. She explained that she found herself after she had an encounter with Jesus Christ during her dark years.
According to her, Bullet is the one who led her to church and introduced her to Christianity to begin a fresh walk with God.
“The work we are doing we need spiritual backing. Through that Bullet introduced me to Christ. It is three years ago that I really accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour but for it to show I needed time. I have gone through that spiritual awakening and understanding the word now.
“From my childhood days I knew about Jesus Christ but I don’t have a personal relationship with Him. When I moved to Germany, it got to a point I lost the vibes with God because there you get comfortable with everything. Because you have access to everything, you may think that is all the world. However, when I came to Ghana I saw life differently. Bullet my manager took to church. When I came back from Germany, I wasn’t a believer, but now, I am closer to God, and I want to bring my fans to Him too.” Wendy Shay said
For her, her plan is to use her celebrity status to spread the gospel to all corners of the world.
