On the margins of the 2022 Local Content Conference, Energy Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh visited a service centre of Sulza Mansa Engineering, a Joint Venture company owned by a Ghanaian Mr George Owusu and Sulza Engineering.

According to Mr George Owusu who played a lead role in Ghana’s oil discovery in commercial quantities in 2007, the idea behind the partnership was to demonstrate Ghanaian competence and also a vehicle through which many Ghanaians could be trained in the areas of operations of the company to deepen Ghanaian capacity.

Dr Prempeh expressed delight seeing the progress and applauded Mr George Owusu for his immense support to Ghana’s oil and gas industry. The Minister further reiterated his commitment to local content and local capacity, saying that Ghanaians can achieve more through such synergies.

The Minister was accompanied by Ag. Chief Director at the Ministry of Energy, Mrs Wilhelmina Asamoah and Chief Executive of the Petroleum Commission, Egbert Faibille Jnr.

Sulza Mansa specialises in overhauls, installation and commissioning, machinery diagnostics and troubleshooting for pumps, compressors, motors and related drivers which are key processes in the oil and gas industry.
