Former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Hawa Koomson has criticized President Mahama and his Vice for their silence on the recent assault she suffered at the hands of NDC thugs during the Ablekuma North rerun poll.
Despite still recuperating from the attack, Koomson attended the NPP congress to show support to party members. She expressed disappointment that the President and his Vice failed to condemn the incident or offer her support.
“I am not surprised about their silence, since I am not a member of their party,” the former MP said. “But I expected more from them as leaders, especially given the severity of the attack.”
Madam Hawa Koomson lamented the lack of response from the President and his administration, emphasising that she was left to fend for herself despite the public nature of the incident.
Hawa Koomson was spotted by https://myrepubliconline.com/ reporters at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference held at the University of Ghana stadium in Accra. She appeared to be limping and was accompanied by a tight security detail.
This event marks her first public appearance since the incident .
