The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has promised to investigate and punish corrupt NPP officials when voted into power on December 7.
In a statement dubbed “Time for Change is Coming”, the former president noted that with just 150 days before the 2024 election, he is urging Ghanaians to vote for change adding that he is the change Ghanaians need.
“Today is one hundred and fifty (150) days to the December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections. The TIME for CHANGE is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on 7th December, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this nation. I urge you, my fellow Ghanaians, to vote John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for CHANGE to signal the need for us, all, to build the Ghana we want together.
Mr. Mahama also noted that, building Ghana together means voting for “MAHAMA your experienced, visionary, truthful and humble servant as the next President of Ghana.
“Building Ghana together means rejecting the arrogance, corruption, and greed of this nonperforming NPP administration that only seeks to extend the misrule and socio-economic hardships imposed on us by the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government”.
The NDC flag bearer further mentioned that, “on 7th December, I will need your vote to reset our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative, and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesses”.
“I need your vote to investigate and punish the corrupt NPP officials who have stolen and continue to steal from the poor taxpayer, scrap the COVID and E-levies, abolish ex-gratia and reduce the size of government drastically to a maximum of sixty ministers”, Mahama added.
