Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to sustaining peace and security in the Bole area of the Savannah Region.

This came during his engagement with the Special Operations Team deployed to Bole, who paid a strategic visit to the Savannah Regional Police Headquarters in Damongo to interact with the IGP.

In a motivational address, Mr. Yohunu urged the team to remain professional, disciplined, and committed to their duties.

He emphasized vigilance, proactive policing, and adherence to strong ethical standards as the foundation of effective security operations in the area.

The IGP further underscored the need for inter-agency collaboration, encouraging the officers to work closely with other security bodies to enhance unity, coordination, and operational efficiency in maintaining law and order.

He also directed the team to intensify patrols, particularly in boundary areas of Bole where displacement has occurred, with special attention given to securing vulnerable communities.

Following the engagement, the Special Operations Team returned to Bole to continue their routine operations, which include community patrols, intelligence gathering, and conflict prevention measures.

Their presence, according to residents, has already contributed significantly to restoring calm and public confidence in the area.

The Ghana Police Service maintains that its continuous operations will ensure long-term peace and stability in Bole and surrounding communities.
