I’ll prioritize completion of delayed projects in Weija-Gbawe – MCE

The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra region, Michael Dankwa has made a promise to the people of Weija-Gbawe to prioritize and complete stalled projects in the Municipality.

The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra region, Michael Dankwa has made a promise to the people of Weija-Gbawe to prioritize and complete stalled projects in the Municipality.

Delivering his acceptance speech as the MCE after a unanimous endorsement on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, Michael Dankwa pledged to work diligently with all key stakeholders to achieve development and prosperity for the people of Weija-Gbawe.

He mentioned that “I am aware of the challenges ahead, including poor road networks, security, flooding, sanitation, and youth unemployment. I will operate an open-door policy and seek the cooperation of all Hon. Members to address these issues. Unity and a collective vision are essential for the betterment of our Municipality”.

Stating what he seeks to achieve as the MCE, Michael Dankwa hinted that, he will prioritize the completion of delayed projects and ensure that completed projects serve their intended purposes adding that, his doors are open for consultation and suggestions for the betterment of Weija-Gbawe.

In a letter dated February 3, 2024, President Akufo-Addo nominated 26 persons to fill vacancies created after dismissing some MDCEs.

The banker secured an impressive 100% endorsement from all 20 assembly members for Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

The new MCE therefore thanked supporters and showed appreciation to the Chiefs and Queen mothers for their support and trust.
