Ghanaian musician, William Kojo Johnson simply known as Stay Jay, has said he is still active in music despite his silence from the music scene for sometime now.
Stay Jay, who has been off the music scene made the statement whiles speaking to Nana Effah on Republic FM’s Artiste Profile on Friday, April 22.
According to the “Twa me lala” hit maker, although he has been off the scene, notwithstanding, he is assiduously working, writing songs and producing music for other artistes in the country.
“As for the music, a young guy like me, I cannot pause like that. Actually, I’m looking into other businesses but for the music, God has gifted me the talent and so I have been writing songs for people, I’m still doing music, I’m active”, he said.
He added that he is currently recording two or three studio albums which is under production for now.
“I’m recording two or three albums in the studio and so it’s not a small job, I’m still doing the music, what is left is the release to give to the people”.
Stay Jay attributed part of his invisibility from the music scene to aspect where things are not like how it used to be, because most of them are growing, responsibilities and other challenges are piling, perhaps family will need them too and combining all these to compose a song will require a lot.
However, he added that most of the times he travel to work outside the country and so to bring out a good music would definitely require something convincing.
Stay Jay begun his music career back in secondary school and subsequently rose to fame after participating in Dr. Duncan’s Kasahare Levels during the time Adom FM was situated in Tema Community 1.
