Interior Minister joins Civil Service week clean-up exercise

Hon. Ambrose Dery, Minister for the Interior, his Deputy, Hon. Naana Eyiah and the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Adelaide Anno-Kumi, joined staff of the Ministry for a clean-up exercise as part of the 2021 Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony.

The Minister and his staff mowed the forecourt of the Ministry and cleaned up the various offices and surroundings.

The Hon. Minister commended staff for the clean-up exercise and their commitment to work. He urged them to continue to render their services to Ghanaians for the good of the country.

The week-long celebration started on 5th August 2021 and it is expected to end on Friday, 13th August at the Accra International Conference Centre where awards will be given to Civil Servants who have excelled in diverse ways in performing their duties.

The Celebration, which is under the auspices of the Office of the Head of Civil Service, is on the theme: Economic Transformation amid Covid-19 Pandemic: The Responsibilities of an Adaptive Civil Service’.

The Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony were set aside to highlight the collective strategies adopted by the Civil Service for the continuous improvement of government business amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

It also seeks to recognize the strategic importance of employees of the Civil Service to national development and honour their dedicated and selfless service to the public and citizens of Ghana.
