The Ministry of Interior has announced May 1 as a statutory national holiday, that will be observed across the length and breadth of the country.
Every first day of May, is set aside as a public holiday, to celebrate workers in many parts of the world.
According to the interior ministry in a press statement signed by Ambrose Derry indicated that: “The general public is hereby informed that Monday, May 1, 2023, which marks May Day (Workers Day) is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”
