MultiChoice Ghana has issued a statement in response to recent comments made by the Honourable Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Mr. Samuel Nartey George, regarding DStv pricing in the country.

MultiChoice expressed concern over the Minister’s statements and reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Minister and the National Communications Authority (NCA) to resolve the issue.

– The company highlighted its 30+ years of operation in Ghana and its dedication to its employees, contract staff, dealers, installers, agents, and retailers.

– MultiChoice emphasized its efforts to keep DStv subscription fees as low as possible despite the challenging economic environment.

“MultiChoice values its subscribers and endeavours at all times to keep DStv subscription fees as low as possible, despite the extremely challenging competitive and macro-economic environment in which we operate, without compromising on customer choice and the quality of the services we offer.”

“We appreciate the recent appreciation of the Cedi (which we have never referred to as a ‘fluke’), it is not tenable to reduce the DStv subscription fees in the manner proposed by the Minister.” – Alex Okyere, Managing Director.

MultiChoice remains committed to constructive engagement with the Honourable Minister and to complying with all applicable laws and regulations in Ghana.

The statement from MultiChoice Ghana underscores the company’s dedication to its subscribers and its commitment to working with relevant authorities to address concerns around DStv pricing.
