Honourable Samuel Atta Mills, Member of Parliament for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency and brother of former President, John Evans Atta Mills has asked the government to stop Atta Mills Institute from managing the Asomdwe Park.
According to him, the Institute has tampered with the grave of the former President. He noted that the current arrangement goes against customs.
The non-governmental organisation run by Koku Anyidoho, an aide to the late Prof. Atta Mills, says they are rehabilitating the ‘Asomdwe Park’ where the mortal remains of the ‘Asomwehene’ were buried.
“It is not proper to allow the NGO to make changes to the grave without recourse to the family,” he said.
Asomdwe Park is the venue which holds the mortal remains of the Late Former President J.E.A Mills. It is a serene environment and a recommendable place for tourists. It is also like a mini zoo for some animals like the ostrich, fishes and birds.
