Ghanaian actor John Dumelo and movie producer Fred Nuamah are set to contest for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency NDC primary.
This comes after John Dumelo announced his intentions to contest for the second time on Sunday.
In a Twitter post, the renowned actor said his decision to come back for the second time came after he consulted his family and party members in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

Actor and movie producer, Fred Nuamah recently announced his intention to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary slot for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
This sets a competition between Dumelo and Fred Nuamah who are both eyeing to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary slot for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the first time.
In the 2020 General elections, John Dumelo represented the NDC and marginally lost to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
The NDC is set to hold its parliamentary and presidential elections on the 13th of May, 2023.
