Former defender of the Black Stars, John Painstil, has filed a defamation suit against some three media outlets, three sports journalists and an analyst.
The three journalist are Patrick Osei Agyemang popularly known as Countryman Songo, Saddick Adams and Veronica Commey as well as Christopher Nimley who is a sports analyst.
Also, Omni Media Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, and the Multimedia Group have been named as defendants in the lawsuit.
This development comes after the four have been very critical of Painstil, who has been appointed as the deputy coach of the senior men’s national team.
The former defender had had his credibility questioned after he was accused of presenting a ‘fake’ certificate for the Black Stars job.
Painstil however, is demanding a sum of GHS80 million in damages.
