The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), in collaboration with other key security agencies, has on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, conducted a nationwide route march across regional capitals as part of efforts to strengthen public confidence in national security.

The exercise, which took place simultaneously in selected regions, involves the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Ghana Immigration Service, and the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

According to the organizers, the route march follows a successful joint show of force held in Accra on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

The exercise is aimed at reassuring the general public of the unwavering commitment of the country’s security services to maintaining peace, safety, and security during the festive season and beyond.

In the Ashanti Region, the march was conducted in four phases. Phase One saw personnel forming up at the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters.

This was followed by Phase Two, a coordinated march through selected suburbs of Kumasi to enhance visibility and engagement with the public.

Phase Three concluded the march at Ridge Park, Danyame, opposite the 4 Garrison Officers’ Mess, which has been designated as the finish point.

The final phase featured goodwill messages from the Regional Minister and heads of the security agencies in the region.

Authorities say the exercise underscores inter-agency cooperation and serves as a proactive measure to deter crime while fostering a sense of safety among residents during the festive period.
