The Kabaka Foundation has donated assorted items to the Nkwatia Children’s Home in the Kwahu East District to support the upkeep and welfare of children in its care.

The donation included bags of rice, cooking oil, toiletries, drinks, clothing, and learning materials. Officials of the foundation said the gesture forms part of their annual outreach aimed at supporting vulnerable children and promoting child welfare in underserved communities.

The donation forms part of the birthday celebration of the father of Nana Owiredu Wadie, Opanyin Kwame Owiredu Wadie

Presenting the items on Thursday, May 14, the Executive Director for Kabaka Foundation, Dr. Henry Larbi said the organization was committed to partnering with institutions that provide care for children who lack parental support.

“These children are our future. No child should feel forgotten or left behind. This is our small way of putting smiles on their faces and supporting the caregivers who work tirelessly for them,” the representative stated”, Dr. Henry Larbi stated.

The Administrator of Nkwatia Children’s Home expressed gratitude for the support, noting that donations help reduce the financial burden of running the facility. She appealed to other organizations and individuals to assist with educational materials and healthcare support for the children.

Staff and children at the home expressed gratitude and prayed for the visiting team with songs and recitals to show appreciation.

The Kabaka Foundation has extended similar support to other children’s homes and schools in the Kwahu area.

The KABAKA Foundation is a charity organisation foundation founded by Nana Owiredu Wadie some eight years ago.

The foundation was started based on the corporate social responsibility of the Chairman’s company (KABAKA Construction and Investment Ltd).
